Day 1 – Athens
Our trip to Greece with Unitrips begins. Arrival at Athens airport. Once at the airport departure, the group will be transferred to the hotel where we will have a welcome dinner. Get a good night’s rest as the trip begins!

– Athens is one of the oldest cities in the world. During its long history, Athens has experienced virtually every possible and imaginable form of government.
– It is the land of the gods of Olympus. In Ancient Greece, the people believed that the world was ruled by the gods who had absolute powers, of which their legends are told.

Day 2 – Athens
After breakfast, we will take a guided tour of the city. Free time for lunch at Pasalimani. We will visit the Plakka area, a very picturesque place to walk around and get lost among its small streets.

Day 3 – Athens – Santorini
New day, new city. Today we have an included flight to Santorini. Upon arrival we will visit Kamari beach, then check in at the hotel for lunch. We will go to watch the sunset in Oia, one of the best places to see the sunset.

– The capital of the island of Santorini is Thira or Fira, the main arrival point for tourists. For most of them, it is the most beautiful village in the Aegean.
– Today, Thirassia, a small sister island of Santorini, offers a landscape of reddish volcanic rocks, and you can walk to the heart of the small volcano in the center of the island.
– At sunset it is best to head towards Oia, located in the far north. The views from there will make you understand the fascination that Santorini provokes. A place with a very special atmosphere, where magic prevails.

Day 4 – Santorini
Full day of sightseeing in different parts of the island with free time for lunch. We will have a tour of Santorini with a wine tasting. We will visit the red beach, Perissa, Imerovigli and Thira for sunset. Dinner included at the hotel.

– The Greek islands are divided into different archipelagos and there are more than 2,000 of them.
– Santorini is an island built in the hollow of a volcano. A wonder of nature, it is crescent-shaped and has cliffs and black sand beaches.
– The main beaches of the island are in the eastern part, around the villages of Kamari and Perissa.

Day 5 – Santorini – Mykonos
After a hearty breakfast, we will board a ferry to Mykonos. Upon arrival we will have lunch included and you will have free time to tour this beautiful town.

Day 6 – Mykonos
Today a guided tour of Mykonos awaits us and in the afternoon you will have free time to do everything you have left to do. Take the opportunity to go shopping.

Day 7 – Mykonos – Samos
Morning at leisure. In the afternoon we board a ferry to travel to Samos with dinner included on board.

Day 8 – Samos
Full day tour of the island of Samos. Afternoon at the beach club.

Day 9- Kusadasi – Ephesus – Pamukkale
We continue our journey to Turkey. Arrival in the town of Kusadasi at 10:00 a.m., continue to Selcuk. We visit Ephesus.
During the tour, we visit the small theater, the marble avenue, the Fountain of Trajan, the Temple of Hadrian, the Roman Baths, the Library of Celsus, the Great Theater.
We have the visit of the House of the Virgin Mary. Transfer to hotel.
Lunch and dinner included

Day 10 – Pamukkale
We visit the ancient city of Hierapolis and the natural pools formed by lime over thousands of years of Pamukkale. Return to the hotel.

Day 11 – Pamukkale – Cappadocia.
Breakfast and departure to Cappadocia. Before leaving, we visit a textile factory and store. Continue on the silk road and visit the Caravansarai of Sultanhan.

Day 12 – Cappadocia
Optional: Balloon ride in Cappadocia. We visit the open air museum of Goreme. Continue to the subway city of Saratlı or Ozkonak. Visit to the valley of the fairy chimneys. In Avanos, we pass over the red river Kizilirmak. Visit to a carpet workshop and an onyx and jewelry workshop. Return to the hotel.

In the evening we continue to the Turkish night show (optional).

Day 13 – Cappadocia – Ankara
Breakfast. Departure to Ankara, visit the Mausoleum of Ataturk. Later, we stop at the Ankara Castle for a coffee and a view of the city.

Day 14 – Ankara – Istanbul.
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport for flight to Istanbul. Upon arrival, transfer to Galata Port for lunch. We visit the best place to contemplate the view of the Golden Horn – Pierre Loti’s Hill.

Day 15 – Istanbul
Breakfast, visit the Roman Hippodrome to see the Egyptian Obelisk, the Serpentine Column and the German Fountain. Then, we visit the Blue Mosque. Visit of Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace. Lunch. Stop for tea at Seven Hills. Visit to the Basilica Cistern. In the afternoon, we walk about 15 minutes to reach the famous Grand Bazaar. Return to the hotel. Free time at leisure.

Day 16 – Istanbul
Visit the Dolmabahçe Palace and the colorful Balat district. Later, we arrive at the Spice Bazaar. Lunch. Continue to the harbor to take our private boat to visit the Bosphorus Strait. Stop at the most famous square in Istanbul, Taksim Square.

Day 17 – Istanbul
Breakfast. Optional tour to see another side of Istanbul and the Ortaköy Mosque with the Bosphorus Bridge behind. Then, we pass over the Bosphorus Bridge to reach the Asian side where we will visit various neighborhoods and typical places with wonderful views.
Day 18 – Istanbul

The rooms for this trip to Greece and Turkey are double/twin. The cities where we will sleep may vary depending on the availability of the accommodations, but this does not imply a major change in the course of the program. Unitrips reserves the right to book in nearby cities in case of non-availability.
