2. Possible doubts arounf medical insurance
What is needed to sign up for health insurance?
- Passport, NIE or DNI.
- Number of Spanish bank account.
- Application and health questionnaire.
- Spanish address. (Can be of a friend or family member… if not, contact us!).
I don’t have a Spanish bank account number, what can I do?
You can open one from your home country, filling out and completing a series of documents. It’s fast and easy!
Do I fulfil the embassy requirements?
Yes, completing the Visa forms and the following documents:
- Certificate of date and unlimited amount
- Payment certificate
- Policy
- Policy coverage
How long will it take to process this all?
It will depend if you have a bank account opened, or if you have to open it:
- With a bank account: approximately 3 working days
- If you don’t have a bank account: appriximately 7 working days
How far in advanced can it be organized?
We can process 2 months in advance, from the first payment to the end of the contract.
How will the payment be made?
Monthly, by direct debit. The payment will be made over the first 5 days of the month. The 2019/ 2020 price is €39. The payment will only begin from the date when the cover begins from. (Date of effect).
Do we have support or reference during the year for whatever concern with respect to the health insurance?
There are channels by internet or phone, both abraod and Spain, as well as a mobile app, for your support.
In addition, as a free service you’ll have the extra support of two insurance brokers with international experience, which will be able to help you in whatever doubt you may have over the year, giving extra support.
