Mountains
One of the things that can be done in Tuscany is to take advantage of the mountains that it has. Few know that in Tuscany there are also alps … apart from the Apennines.
There are many summits that approach 2000 meters.
- Abetone: it is the mountain where you can ski almost 6 months a year in Tuscany.
- Alpi Apuane: The Pisanino is the highest mountain, this chain is famous for the extraction of Carrara marble and for the hiking trails.
- Amiata: technically it is an almost extinct volcano 1700 meters south of Tuscany, famous for hiking and for the privileged view of the Val d’Orcia.
Hills
If there is one thing Tuscany has become famous for in the world, it is the sweet rolling landscape.

- Forte dei Marmi and Versilia – the destination of Italy’s best-known class scene. It is where Galliani and Briatore do business.
- Elba Island – the best beaches and coves in the Mediterranean are here, and nobody knows!
- Orbetello and Giglio – moving area in southern Tuscany
- Capraia – island that cannot be more isolated, between Tuscany and Corsica.
