Salzburg in a day
Salzburg is that picture postcard that you have always received for Christmas. It is a marvellous city where every house, corner, bar and, of course nature, reveals the magic of Austria. If you visit Salzburg, besides being known as one of the most surprising places in Europe for tourists, you can enjoy many other qualities of its heritage, some of which are as follows:
-Salzburg is a member of the Organization of World Heritage Cities.
– In the Abbey of Saint Peter established by Saint Rupert, lived a novice whose life was transported to the movies in the film The Sound of Music, one of the cinematographic gems that made Salzburg known to the rest of the world.
– In the abbey, there was a source of salt water and the residents started to call the earth The City of the Salt or similarly: Salzburg.
–In Salzburg you can find the central headquarters of Red Bull.
-You must try the Mozart chocolates, all chocolate with a huge variety of fillings, adorned with the face of the musician and the city’s favourite child: Mozart.
-Every summer the Salzburg Festival is celebrated, the most important classical music event in the world.
-You must visit the famous Red Bull Hanger-7, where planes, Formula 1 cars, helicopters and motorbikes are exhibited, all in brilliant harmony with fantastic works of art. Also, here you will find various themed bars and a gourmet restaurant.
-Take yourself on a tour around Getreidegasse, one of Salzburg’s main streets, where you’ll find the majority of luxury brands. But the most spectacular thing here is that the medieval tradition has been conserved with the shop front letters that are forged in iron.
-The Agustiner Brau, located in an old Augustine monastery, continues to make beer as it was made hundreds of years ago, you take your own jug, wash it in a fountain and hand it over so that they can serve your delicious beer. Amazing!
