Travel Booking
How do I book a tour?
All tours have a button that says “Book”. Click on it, follow the steps and fill out the forms accordingly and that’s it! It’s super simple… And if you have any questions you can always contact us by sending an email to info@unitrips.es.
What is the difference between Original and Plus?
Our trips in Europe are divided into two categories: Original and Plus. The Original tours represent our essence, tours for real travelers that cover everything you need to enjoy your travel experience 100%, but without luxuries. They are budget tours more dedicated to students living in Europe.
The Plus tours offer a more personalized and dedicated service for travelers arriving from distant countries, especially from Latin America, who require more assistance. They are provided with the transfer from the airport to the accommodation when they arrive in Europe, a SIM card with coverage valid for all Europe, a welcome kit that includes merchandising.

What does the welcome kit include?
The kit is usually modified according to the season, it can contain a bag, a T-shirt, a pin, stickers, luggage tags, water bottles, etc.
What is included in the price of the trip?
We always say very clearly what is included in each trip, in fact we dedicate a very well marked section on the trip page (tab: what is included). This also depends on the category of the trip (Original and Plus). In general, they all include transportation by private bus to the destinations mentioned in the travel program, the hostel/hotel (with rooms shared with the travel group), breakfasts and above all the assistance of our coordinators. If there are extras included, they will be specified within each trip. We prefer to offer a service within the reach of most people and offer the extras to those who want them.
All my friends are going to travel with Unitrips but there is no more availability? What can I do?
Hope is the last thing you lose! We travel with groups of 60 people maximum and we receive reservations constantly every day, even on weekends. When we run out of places, we open a waiting list. We can’t guarantee that you will have a place, but anything is possible. So if you are one of the first on the waiting list, you might be lucky. Give it a try, it won’t cost you anything!
Can I go on the trip alone?
Of course you can. Our trips are special for that. Many people come unaccompanied and throughout the tour a big traveling family is formed 🙂
How can we know the active Unitrips promotions?
Normally the promos we do on our instagram we announce them to all our partners so they can benefit as well. You can subscribe to our newsletter to receive all the news and offers.
If I have booked a trip with a promo or a discount, can I change the dates or the names of the passengers?
You can, but you will lose the discount and the promo. Normally discounts and promotions are not transferable.
Age of Passengers
Is it possible to travel with a child under 14 years old?
Yes, it is possible, although we always recommend in these cases the trips suitable for families, since they usually have a wider age range and less partying. The trips that we tend to offer for families are the Discover Europe and the Magical Europe.
Is it possible to travel with 2 year olds?
We do not recommend it because of the type of trip. They spend many hours in a bus that does not have a bathroom. We recommend from 5 years old.
I am over 60 years old, can I join a Eurotrip?
Of course you can, but only on trips suitable for all ages. We must also inform you that we spend many hours on a bus, the routes are on foot and sometimes the distances are long, we also advise you to book a single room to make you feel more comfortable.
Can a minor travel alone?
Yes they can, but if they are over 16 years old, we only need an authorization from their guardian.
People with disabilities.
Can these tours be suitable for people with disabilities?
It is not recommended as the buses can be a bit uncomfortable for them. We also have to take into account that there is a lot of walking on our tours. We have had experiences with people in wheelchairs but they had incredible support from two people who took care of everything and helped them to get on the bus, etc.
Modify tour
Is it possible to subtract a few nights from a tour to make it shorter? Are you entitled to a discount or price reduction?
Yes, it is possible. We usually deduct 40 € per night in accommodation not made, although depending on the number of nights not made this amount may vary. If the night is the one spent in the bus, nothing is discounted. Also remember that discounts only apply to full tours, therefore any discount would not be applicable in case of reduced tour.
What is the difference between an extra night and adding a night to a tour?
When we talk about extra night we refer to the reservation of accommodation before the tour leader’s services officially start. When we add nights and days to a child tour by extending it, we are adding all the services included in the tour, so extending a tour is more expensive than booking an extra night.

Is it possible to book an extra night before the tour starts?
Of course it is possible. It is quite common that due to flight combinations and costs, it is convenient for many people to arrive earlier at their destination. The important thing is that this is indicated at the time of booking or at the latest 30 days before the start of the tour.
If I buy extra nights on my own, what accommodations do you recommend in the different cities?
Madrid, NH Atocha or Mediodía, because it is right in front of the bus departure. In Rome, it is usually the Meininger, also because it is very close to Termini, In Prague it is usually the AO Rhea, In Paris, the Meininger Porte de Vincennes or the Jo&Joe Gentilly (Périphérique area).
Accommodation
How are the accommodations along the tour?
If there is something that distinguishes us from other conventional tour operators is the accommodation we choose: we try to have a youthful atmosphere, with multiple rooms (3-8 beds), with common areas and bars in the same accommodation, in a good position within the city to allow our customers to go out at night on foot or by uber. You can check our catalog of accommodations and see the quality of them. They are not luxury accommodations, but they are not old school hostels either.
Are the bathrooms private or shared?
We always choose accommodations with private bathrooms to facilitate the group checkout. Therefore, only the roommates will share the bathroom. Only in extreme cases of complicated destinations it may be possible to have shared bathrooms. Double or single rooms will always have private bathrooms.
How can I know the cost of the supplement in single, double or triple room for the whole tour?
Normally on the web page when you start the reservation process a form is displayed where, when you select the “Room Type” option, the cost of the supplement is shown below. Remember that this option requires confirmation of availability from Unitrips, especially for reservations less than 30 days prior to departure. Once the room type is confirmed, it cannot be changed before or during the tour.
A single person may NOT purchase the double room supplement. If you do so, we will apply the single supplement.
TIP: in our experience, many clients who choose the single room regret it, because they do not experience the night with other people and become isolated. If the client is undecided, we always recommend the multiple room.
The arrangement of the beds in the rooms is out of Unitrips control, therefore the double, triple or private rooms generally contain the number of beds indicated, but we cannot guarantee that the beds are double, single or in any special arrangement, as this depends exclusively on the accommodation providers.
We are a group of 4 people and we do not want to share a room with others, do we have to pay a supplement?
Normally, by notifying the case in “Observations” at the time of booking, we will make sure that these people will never share with others and will always have a quadruple room for themselves. If they want to guarantee a shared quadruple room, they will have to pay a supplement.
Can I always choose who I share with and are the rooms divided between men and women?
Currently we organize the “rooming” on the bus before arrival at the destination. Soon we will have an app where you will be able to choose the bed in the room. We always try to make sure that everyone is satisfied with the distribution of the beds, but it may happen from time to time that there is a mixed room.
Can I always be in the room with my friends?
Again, we try to be flexible and make sure that everyone is comfortable on the trip with their companions and the room division is done on a daily basis during the trip so that everyone has a choice. But you also have to understand, that not always everyone can be in the best conditions, so we can’t guarantee anything 100% :). These trips are also a very good experience to meet people from all over the world, so we always invite the group members to be fun, sociable and flexible… And at the end of the trip, they will be the travelers who had the best time!
Do you share rooms with people from outside the group?
No, we don’t. All the rooms we reserve are private for the group. The only case of sharing with people outside the group is when you book a night in a multiple room before or after the tour.
Is the group always in the same accommodation?
Almost always. There may be a situation where the group has to be split between accommodations because there are no accommodations that can accommodate the entire group. This can happen in larger groups, such as Christmas groups, or when a lodging does not have private rooms so we reserve double rooms in nearby hotels.
If I travel alone and do not purchase the individual supplement, how does the accommodation apply?
In this case, you would have to share a room with the other people and you would not have to pay anything extra.
Is it possible to change the hotel accommodation to pure hotel on a tour?
No, but you can choose a double or single room at extra cost. Keep in mind that in almost every tour there are also hotels and that our selection of accommodation is usually comparable to 3 star hotels.
Is it possible for a person to travel alone and ask for a double room?
No, it is not possible, you would have to ask for a single room because you cannot join someone else on the trip.
Transfers
What is needed to book a transfer?
It is essential that all the necessary information is provided so that we can process the transfer: Client name, cell phone number, Arrival or departure flight and airline, Arrival or departure airport with specified terminal, Estimated time of arrival.
We will provide a voucher with the transfer and a phone number to call in case you do not meet the transfer. There will be no Unitrips staff meeting you at the airport, it is a subcontracted service that takes you from the airport to the accommodation or from the accommodation to the airport.
If I want to add arrival and departure transfers to each tour, how much would they cost?
Arrival transfers are included in PLUS Category tours. On ORIGINAL Category tours they can be purchased at the time of booking. Transfers can be added or modified only up to 7 days before the tour. The cost of the individual transfer is 50 €, in case of multiple reservations is 40 € per person. Standard price per city to the airport or station in the same city.
What happens if I don’t meet the driver at the airport?
With the voucher we provide you normally have 2 phone numbers. The day before landing, the driver will send a message to the client with his personal data, car plate number.
Upon landing we recommend activating the airport WIFI, after passing through immigration, as it has a duration of 40 minutes free of charge, this will give you time to communicate with the driver.
Normally they wait 60 minutes after landing. In case of not meeting the driver, we will advise you to take a cab to the destination, ask for an invoice and then we will claim the amount due (Important: When doing this, you will have to prove that the calls were made to the numbers that appear on the voucher).
Is the transfer included if I book one night in advance?
No, the transfer is only included in the PLUS category tours. Remember that we only include the arrival transfer, not the departure transfer. In case you need a departure transfer, you can request it as an additional service to the tour.
Buses
Do the buses have WiFi?
The buses do NOT have WiFi. In the PLUS trips you will receive a SIM Card with data valid in all Europe.
Do the buses have toilets?
No, tour buses do not usually have toilets because it is not possible to empty them and they would start to smell. They also take up space for luggage.
How many seats do the buses have?
We normally use 60-seater buses.
Customer Info.
Once the booking is completed, when will I have the final documents to present at the destination?
Normally the “Final Info” email with everything related to the trip is sent about 7 days before the start of the tour. Much of this information will be available in the app once it is downloaded.
What would be the estimated time for the App to be up and running where all the info will be?
We hope to have it before the Summer 24 trips. In case it is not available all communication will be done as we have done so far by email and WhatsApp.
How much can my luggage weigh?
We recommend that luggage weighs a maximum of 15/20 kg. The personal backpack should weigh a maximum of 8 kg.
Do I need a passport or a visa?
It depends on your nationality and the destinations you are traveling to. Better check here: visados.org
During the trip
What is the meeting point of the trip?
Before the trip you will receive an email with details about the exact meeting point for each trip. If you can’t make it that day, at the appointed time or place, you will always have the WhatsApp group where all the travelers will be, the tour leader and Unitrips where you can contact us. This way we can advise you on where to reach us, remember to always let us know in advance, as we are a large travel group. Again, we try to adapt to the demands of the travelers, although from time to time we find it impossible.
What activities do we follow and with what schedule?
The activities are different for each city. We will offer extra activities in order to enhance the experience. And the schedules will be announced in advance so that you can plan your free time.
What is the role of the tour leader?
The tour leader is the coordinator of the trip and takes care of all the group’s needs from the beginning of the tour (not before) to the end of the tour (not after). We usually have different types of tour leaders, some are more suitable for party groups, others for more mature groups. The tour leader offers a complete service from morning to night, but also rests and has the right to sleep. The Tour Leader is a companion throughout the tour, who will be attentive to your needs and willing to help you making your stay the most pleasant. By law, he/she cannot guide in the cities.
Is it mandatory to follow the tour leader throughout the tour?
Since everyone is of legal age, we do not force you to be with the group at all times. For example, if you want to leave at night, sleep all morning and join the group later, it is not a problem. The only thing we ask for is strict punctuality when we have to change cities and need to involve the bus.
How much money will I need during the trip?
This is very personal. It depends on your habits. You will have free time to go shopping or buy souvenirs. And do whatever you want until the wee hours of the morning: so if you are an Erasmus student who usually goes out every night. You may need extra money (in places like Paris or Amsterdam, drinks can be very expensive).
In general we advise to bring between 60 € and 80 € per day of travel, but there are people who have made the trip with 25 € per day.
What is the main language of the trip?
Most of our travelers are Spanish speakers, so the main language of the trip is Spanish. Our tour leaders have knowledge of other languages, especially English, so there is also English translation during the tour.
Extras
Are extra activities guaranteed?
No. It depends on the number of participants and the provider’s availability, although they almost always take place. They are subject to change of time, day and cancellation.
If I do not participate in an optional activity, what can I do?
Being trips for adults, we usually leave a lot of freedom to our travelers and we help them and provide information so that they can visit the cities in an alternative way. For example, in Paris there are always many people who want to go to the Louvre Museum, while others go to Euro-Disney and others choose to visit the Latin Quarter.
When and how do I book the optional activities?
They are booked through a form that is sent to you along with an email with the final information about 7 days before the trip. The extras are paid in cash to the tour leader during the tour. Please note that you must let us know in advance so we can purchase the tickets.
Do the pre/post nights include airport transfer?
No, they do not, you will have to pay for the transfer in case the tour is original. Plus trips do include airport transfer but only on arrival.
Christmas Dinner / New Year’s Eve Party Specifications
Details about the dinners and New Year’s Eve will be shared during the tour: there the client will know the menu and decide whether to sign up. On New Year’s Eve we only recommend discotheques.
Cancellation Conditions.
What happens if I decide to cancel my trip?
We normally apply the following cancellation conditions:
- With more than 60 days: The cancellation cost is the deposit paid.
- With less than 45 days: The cost is 100% of the total amount of the trip. But, we offer the possibility to use the money for a future trip with Unitrips within one year.
Unfortunately on our side it is a cancellation of services, therefore you need a cancellation insurance to cover this justified cause.
